How to paint rusted metal axe and delicate reflective ceramic cups demo by Aleksey Vaynshteyn

In this video I paint a slightly rusted metal axe and a pair of ceramic cups. The still life is staged on a weathered old piece of wood. It’s a nice contrast between the objects that creates some interesting tensions. This painting is done in oil on canvas and took me about three hours to complete. It’s sped up to make it more watchable. Colors I used are listed below: Titanium white Cadmium yellow Yellow ochre Alizarin crimson Burnt umber Ultramarine blue See my available painting on my Etsy shop: Follow me on Instagram: @lxnyc Music: Anamalie, As I Figure Latinesque, Autum Day, Clear Air Somewhere Sunny, Cold day funk funkorama, Cumbia no frills faster, DD Groove, Easy day, and Easy Lemon by Kevin MacLeod licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license () Source: Artist:
