The members of an interagency hotshot crew (IHC), or simply hotshots, are the most highly trained wildland firefighters in the United States. In 2018, there were 113 hotshot crews in operation. The different crews are organized by the United States Forest Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bureau of Land Management, as well as state and county governments.
