Opening of the Gates

The re-opening of Temple Bar, the ancient gateway to the City of London by The Duke of Gloucester and Nicholas Lyons, the Lord Mayor of London, during a colourful ceremony that dates back to 1660. The event marked the return of this surviving gateway to civic use as an education and events centre, the home of the Architects’ Livery Company and a space for meetings and dining.
