’They didn’t expect that they would have to abandon there’ – Tsentr Group of Forces’ servicemen told about liberation of Mikhaylovka The Russia troops entered the settlement by small groups moving from shelter to shelter and using camouflaged dugouts in forest belts. Unmanned aerial vehicles in cooperation with artillery crews, aviation, and other units corrected actions of assault detachments. Powerful fire support for assault units was provided by FPV drones which were striking the enemy out of fortifications. A large number of AFU manpower and military hardware including armoured infantry vehicles and Western-made armoured personnel carriers were destroyed during the offensive. ’There are trenches, dugouts, communications trenches, fox holes in every belt. They didn’t expect that they would have to abandon the area. Their dugouts were equipped quite firmly, two or three log rolls,’ said the battalion’s deputy commander on military-political work.
