Full title reads: “Pageantry at Harrow. Carnival Queen’s Procession in brilliant sunshine“. Harrow, Greater London. Brightly decorated floats travel along the streets. Some are horse drawn, some are pulled by vans. Dairies, greengrocers and other local businesses have sponsored floats. Boy scouts are there, as are representatives of Wealdstone Mothers Committee. The celebrations may be connected with the Silver Jubilee. One float has men ’blacked up’ with make up and wearing fancy dress. N.B. Item found in Unidentified Gazettes reel.
