🚨 Breaking news! France to transfer “winged“ AASM Hammer bombs to Ukraine! 🇺🇦

These bombs are compatible with Su-24 and MiG-29 aircraft. Starting in 2024, Ukraine will receive 50 aerial bombs every month till year-end! 💣✈️ It’s expected these will be adjustable bombs with rocket accelerators for better performance. AASM upgrades existing unguided aerial bombs like JDAM, used by Ukrainian tactical aviation. It includes a front part with guidance system and flaps, and a rear part with booster for extended flight range. France offers Hammer-250 for bombs (227kg) and Hammer-1000 for bombs (908kg). The AASM kit can have INS with GPS, thermal imaging seeker, or laser beam guidance system. They ensure accuracy up to 1 meter, resistant to enemy electronic warfare. Flight range varies (15-70km), but in 2022, new accelerator for Hammer-1000 promises up to 200km!
