Caught By The Camera No. 53 (1935)

Titles read: “Caught by the Camera“. United States of America. In the United States of America we see men taking part in an airplane meet, where they fly their model aeroplanes. All the planes are driven by petrol engines. One plane flies off, soaring into the sky; the engine stalls and the plane crashes to the ground, into a group of spectators. Anther aircraft called ’Lazy Larry’ leaves the ground for a moment before crashing back down to earth, nose first. In Cleveland, United States of America we see a ’human flying bat’, Clem Soame (? Glenn Soan?), soaring across the sky with just a pair of cloth wings. He starts to fall towards the ground, but opens his parachute in the nick of time and drifts down to earth. At an unidentified location in the United States we see a truck that can be used on the road and also on a railway track by deflating the pneumatic tyres so the truck runs along on steel wheels.
