Peacock Mantis Shrimp (Odontodactylus scyllarus) killing and eating a Blue-Ringed Octopus (Hapalochlaena lunulata).
These species occur in the same habitat and may frequently interact. How the stomatopod deals with the TTX chemical defense of the octopus is an area that my laboratory is currently investigating.
