Ugram Viram - Narasimha Mantra - 108 Chants

ugraṁ vīraṁ mahāviṣṇum jvalantam sarvato mukhaṁ nṛsiṁham bhīṣaṇam bhadraṁ mṛtyur mṛtyuṁ namāmyaham This powerful Narasimha Mantra appears in the Narasimha Tapani Upanishad. This mantra which has eleven words is chanted as per the directions of the Narasimha Tapani Upanishad. Chanting of this mantra and meditating on the lotus feet of Lord Narasimha in a complete mood of surrender will not only destroy the evils of this world but also drives away the internal evils such as kaama, krodhadi arishadvargas ( the group of six enemies).
