It shows gunnery training runs flown to familiarize Santasiero, who flew the P-47 in WWII, with the P-51D Mustang, which he flew in the Korean War. The film dates to July, 1951. During the Korean War, Santasiero was flying a P-51 Mustang with the 12th Fighter Squadron of the 18th Fighter Wing. The film starts with footage from a training mission with Santasiero shooting at a cloth target pulled behind an aircraft (:35). The film then shows training strafing runs against a ground target (5:30). Ralph (1921-2012) was born in Long Island City, New York. He enlisted as an Aviation Cadet in November, 1942. Trained in Class 43.H, he graduated and was commissioned at Marianna, Florida. His first assignment was the 9th Air Force flying P-47 Thunder
