Titanic Remembrance Adelaide 2012

On 14 April 2012, the centenary of the sinking of the Titanic, a remembrance dinner was held in the Adelaide Convention Centre. The biggest balloon drop ever symbolised water and the flooding of the Titanic as it sank. Irish music and dancing by Comhaltas provided a representation of the culture of the Irish emigrants on the Titanic. The clip provides a stark contrast between 2012 and the tragedy of 1912.
