Written by keyboard player Jonathan Cain, the song’s inception began with an idea written on a napkin on the band’s tour bus and was completed the following day in just 30 minutes. The melody itself Cain has said came to him in a dream and the lyrics tell of the difficulties of being both a married man and a touring musician. The song was the second single from the album Frontiers and went on to peak at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the band’s second consecutive top 20 hit from the album. When the band was touring for the album, Bryan Adams was their opening act and during that time he wrote the song “Heaven“ which he has said was heavily influenced by “Faithfully“. Today Sara is going to take on this classic and we hope you all enjoy her version of the tune. Please be sure to share how you thought she stacked up!
