Cashmere Fashions (1957)

London. M/S of the door of the Wallbrook Club, a car is parked in front of it on the street. Two glamorous young women and a man with a camera come out of the door and walk past. The photographer is Arthur Goodchild and the girls are models Ronnie Goodlette and Anna Fryer. L/S of the Thames with buildings in the background and a pleasure boat sailing past in the foreground, the camera pans down to where two men and a woman are sitting by the river writing in notebooks. They are members of the fashion press coming for a preview of the latest Cashmere styles. Arthur and the models walk down the steps towards them and start chatting. M/S of the models and the press, one man has a newspaper, the group gathers round to look at it. The narrator tells us the Cashmere sweaters are a product of a factory in Hawick, Scotland. Arthur moves away from the group and holds his camera up ready to take a picture. M/S of the group looking at the paper. C/U of Ronnie’s face, the camera moves down to show her c
