How scientists measured the smallest gravitation force

This video is based on a recent paper that made the smallest measurement of gravity at the time. This measurement is based on the same concept as the Cavendish experiment, which was designed by John Michell. This works by measuring the change in position of a torsion balance due to the influence of gravity. I attempt to describe how the experiment worked historically and how this has been adapted to this modern measurement. 0:00 - Intro 1:10 - John Michell 1:56 - Henery Cavendish 2:28 - How a torsion balance works 3:04 - The Cavendish Experiment 3:51 - Modern measurement 5:16 - Experiment results You can view the paper here: Reference: Westphal, T., Hepach, H., Pfaff, J. et al.
