‘I’m so full of grief’: thousands take to the streets in support of Gaza

Thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters have gathered across the UK to demand an end to Israel’s bombardment of Gaza. In London, more than 1,000 Metropolitan police officers were deployed as demonstrations took place for a third consecutive weekend. Similar demonstrations were held in many UK cities including Manchester, Glasgow and Belfast. According to the Hamas-run health ministry, more than 7,300 Palestinians have died since the war began. Israel launched its latest bombing campaign in Gaza as a result of the 7 October Hamas attacks that killed 1,400 people and saw 229 people taken as hostages.
