Smokey Robinson was one of the songwriters for The Temptations. ’Get ready’ (1966) is a great steamy track to dance on (“So, fiddle-ee-dee, fiddle-ee-dum“) and became a blueprint for other songs like ’Going to a go go’ and ’The way you do the things you do’ (which you can also watch on the Toppop You Tube Channel). The song didn’t perform that well in the charts why Motown chief Berry Gordy decieded to ask songwriter Norman Whitfield to take over Robinsons place.
