At the end of last 2022, we spoke to people across Italy and Germany to get a picture of what life has been like under the energy crisis in Italy and Germany this winter – and who is to blame. The film shows how communities are resorting to not turning on their heating, just to buy food, and how bills were increasing by €1000. We found that many people are crying out for the safe, clean energy solutions we need to escape the crisis. Who is standing in the way? The fossil fuel industry.
