Johnny Weir accepts 2008 Readers’ Choice Award for Skater of the Year Michelle Kwan Trophy

Johnny Weir accepts his first Readers’ Choice Award for Skater of the Year Michelle Kwan Trophy. Johnny won this award twice in three years and is the only skater since Kwan to win more than once. This ceremony took place in 2008. Johnny will receive this year’s award at the 2011 U.S. Championships in Greensboro, N.C. Johnny won this year’s award by a landslide, receiving more than 5,000 of the 8,000 votes cast.
