CULTURE CLUB Early Demo Tape UNEDITED VERSIONS

When Culture Club released their Box Set back in 2002 to celebrate their 20th anniversary, they included demo tracks from the first recording session with the George-Jon-Mikey-Roy lineup that took them superstardom (an earlier demo was recorded with original guitarist Suede, with still unheard songs like I’m An Animal, Eyes Of Medusa and Mask.) Those demos were edited HEAVILY, as this tape shows. It includes I’m Not Crazy (originally intended to be a single, but after the success of “Do You Really Want To Hurt Me“ they decided to go for the AC market with “Time“ instead. The other two songs were never released (apart from the edit versions on the box set), “Put It Down“ and “Kissing To Be Clever“- the title track of their debut album that was not included.
