Peter Alexander - Mama (German cover of Connie Francis/Heintje classic) 1969

From the vinyl LP “Für Dich, Mutter“ - Austrian singer Peter Alexander does a German language cover version of the song originally written in 1941 by Cesare Andrea Bixio with Italian lyrics by Bruno Cherubini. In 1946, the English lyrics were written by Harold Barlow and Phil Brito. Connie Francis had an English hit witn it in 1960 (as well as the Italian version) Dutch singer Heintje had a German language hit with it in 1967.
