️ ️Mass crossings are one of the most successful solutions of the Ukrainian military engineers in the direction of Kupyansk. Of course, this is due to the fact that the size of the Oskol River allows for the construction of such crossings. It is practically useless to destroy the crossings, as their repair is literally carried out in a matter of hours and under certain circumstances takes less than an hour. The only solution to stop traffic along them is the constant presence of artillery crews and unmanned aircraft, which is not an easy task under conditions of active counter-battery warfare. The construction of such crossings ’from scratch’ takes much more time than special crossings with pontoons. This means that they can only be erected when enemy artillery is at a safe distance from the site of the engineering works.
