A lot of people around Asia, mainly its former colonies, still dislike Japan because of what happened during the Second World War. Taiwan, however, is different. Most younger Taiwanese can’t seem to get enough of Japanese things, while even those who lived through the hardships and cruelties of the colonial period seem to hold Japan in a mostly positive light.
