These are some of my Morrowind OCs. The Argonian fellow, Stellar, is my Nerevarine.
I decided to make this at the start of February for Valentine’s Day, and as you can see, underestimated how long it would take me. But I wanted to use it as practice since I haven’t done frame-by-frame animation in like a year and a half, so I didn’t want to rush myself. I’ve struggled to draw these characters of mine for a while, so I figured how better to get a hold on them than drawing them over and over again consistently. I also wanted to figure out how Stellar’s lip syncing would work, and I wanted to try to nix my habit of copying, pasting, and transforming frames and instead try redrawing each one. I also ended up keeping a sketchy style for my lines with this one, and I like how it turned out. I tried to emulate the older scratchier Disney stuff like 101 Dalmatians and Aristocats with it.
Surprisingly to me, he was about 10 times easier to animate than she was, proving that humans (and in this case elves) have the worst shaped face of the animal kingdom.
Animated at 24 fps with an abhorrent amalgamation of 2s, 3s, with a few 1s thrown in there. There are 92ish frames in this.
Characters: Stellar (lizard-y fella), Ramshurbani (elf lady) (Morrowind Ocs)
Program Used: Clip Studio Paint
Audio: The Aristocats
