83 🇺🇸 Le Parc National GRAND TETON, des sommets majestueux

Pourquoi ce parc porte un nom bien gaulois ? il vient des premiers trappeurs français à la recherche de peaux de castors . Ils découvrirent la région au XVIIIe siècle. À la vue des trois plus hauts sommets enneigés, ils songèrent à la forme de tétons féminins….. Le nom est resté. Nous avons pu faire l’une des randonnées les plus pittoresques du parc (la Jenny Lake) qui nous a permis de passer à côté des mares de Moose, où nous avons pu voir une maman avec son petit, pour ensuite continuer en direction des cascades de Hidden Falls et enfin arriver à Inspiration Point qui nous a offert un panorama impressionnant sur le lac et les montagnes. Visite et bivouac à Jackson dans le Wyoming. Courte traversée de l’Idaho pour arriver à Montpelier puis Paris. Et enfin l’Utah. Bivouac carrément devant le Capitol à Salt Lake City. Spot de nuit à côté d’un lac en pleine nature de l’Utah et à 150 km d’Escalante. Nous sommes sur la Highway 24 (fabuleuse) pour retrouver la merveilleuse (Route 12) National Scenic Byway. Lever de soleil au point de vue sur Capitol Reef NP. Rencontre sur le marché de Boulder avec Victor et sa compagne et leur Fuso. Français expatriés depuis une vingtaine d’années. Heureux de vivre aux States. Rando dans le canyon pour y voir un magnifique pont naturel, ainsi qu’une belle arche. Spot de nuit, juste avant d’arriver à Escalante précisément au début de la piste Hole in the rock Road. En fond, on peut voir les montagnes des Smoky Mountain. La piste des Smoky Mountain pour la prochaine vidéo. 🇺🇸 Why does this park have a very Gallic name? it comes from the first French trappers looking for beaver pelts. They discovered the region in the 18th century. At the sight of the three highest snow-capped peaks, they thought of the shape of female nipples….. The name stuck. We were able to do one of the most picturesque hikes in the park (Jenny Lake) which allowed us to pass by the Moose ponds, where we were able to see a mother with her baby, then continue towards the waterfalls. from Hidden Falls and finally arrive at Inspiration Point which offered us an impressive panorama of the lake and the mountains. Visit and bivouac in Jackson, Wyoming. Short crossing of Idaho to arrive in Montpelier then Paris. And finally Utah. Bivouac directly in front of the Capitol in Salt Lake City. Night spot next to a lake in the heart of Utah and 150 km from Escalante. We are on Highway 24 (fabulous) to find the wonderful (Route 12) National Scenic Byway.
