Former Argentine MP buries himself in dirt to protest President Milei legislation

A former Argentine MP has buried himself in dirt to protest legislation from the country’s new right-wing president. Hector “Cacho” Barbaro, who was an MP with the Frente de Todos coalition, buried himself in the dirt on Sunday 4 February. The former parliamentarian was protesting the President Javier Milei’s sweeping reform package, known as the “omnibus law“, which aims to reduce the size of the government.
