7.1 Earthquake Today in Mariana islands/ very Strong Earthquake in Mariana islands

An earthquake of magnitude 7.1 occurred only 19 minutes ago 160 km north of Agrihan Village, Northern Mariana Islands, the United States Geological Survey reported. The quake hit at a shallow depth of 12.4 km beneath the epicenter near Agrihan Village, Agrihan Island, Northern Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, early evening on Friday, November 24th, 2023, at 7:05 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report. Our monitoring service identified a second report from the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) which listed the quake at magnitude 6.7. Other agencies reporting the same quake include Geoscience Australia (GeoAu) at magnitude 6.8, and France’s Réseau National de Surveillance Sismique (RéNaSS) at magnitude 6.4.
