John Galliano has created the most spectacular fashion shows of our time. In this year Galliano is named chief women’s wear designer of Christian Dior. This collection, Galliano’s first Ready-to-Wear outing for the august label, was inspired by Jayne Mansfield taking a trip to the exotic Orient. The Chinoiserie parasol used on catwalk is an archive piece from John Galliano’s first advertising campaign for Christian Dior in 1997. It was designer by Maggie Cheung.
