‘This is what happens when ignoramuses take charge’: Douglas Murray on Trudeau’s Canada

Author Douglas Murray has shared his thoughts about the state of Canada under the leadership of Justin Trudeau. Mr Murray slammed the decision by speaker of Canada’s House of Commons Anthony Rota to invite a Ukrainian man who fought for a Nazi military unit against the Soviets in the 1940s to the parliament. Mr Rota maintained he did not know of the veteran’s links to the Schutzstaffel and has since resigned. Mr Murray labelled the incident as “extraordinary” and said the bungle handed a massive propaganda win to the Russians. “This is what happens when a country loses its adults. When ignoramuses who think they know everything take charge,” he continued. “This is just one example of what happens when your society gets riddled by stupidity because of stupid leaders.”
