Die Fledermaus Rosalinde, Eisenstein, Adele Act 1 Trio in English - Johann Strauss

“To part is such sweet sorrow.“ “Die Fledermaus“ is a story of a practical joke played by Dr. Falke on his good friend Gabriel Eisenstein. Eisenstein has been sentenced to jail for insulting a police officer. Dr. Falke invites Eisenstein to a party, and Eisenstein can turn himself into the police in the morning. Unknown to the others, Dr. Falke has also invited Eisenstein’s wife Rosalinde to the party disguised as a Hungarian countess, and their maid Adele, disguised as a starlet. In this trio from Act 1, each laments that Eisenstein is headed to jail (dressed in formal evening wear). However each is elated to be going to a fabulous party. This is a Peninsula Teen Opera performance in English.
