Hey Guys, Before we begin, let’s address the elephant in the room. Like its sedan-shaped sibling, the (deep breath) Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 SE Performance ditches its predecessor’s twin-turbo V8. Instead, there’s a turbocharged four-cylinder, a battery pack, and an electric motor.
That’s right, the GLC 63 has become a plug-in hybrid. It’s a very different system to what you’ll find in a kitchen Mercedes GLC PHEV, with an emphasis on performance rather than efficiency. The 63’s four is an evolution of the engine you’ll find in the A 45 megahatch, the SL 43 and of course the C 63 sedan/estate.
