The Para-Mongolic languages are a language family that includes many extinct and extant languages spoken across Eurasia, including Mongolian. Though there is a great variety of extant Mongolic languages, the ones besides Mongolian are declining or endangered. This video will present the history and evolution of the Para-Mongolic languages from 700 BCE to the present. Disclaimer: all dates are approximations, and the classification of some extinct languages as Para-Mongolic remains controversial.
