“The EU Could DIE” Says Emmanuel Macron | Alex Phillips

Emmanuel Macron has warned that the EU “could die“ if it doesn’t become more competitive with the US and China. Speaking at the Berlin Global Dialogue, the French president said the EU is over-regulating and under-investing, falling behind in economic output and investment. He urged the bloc to finalise its banking union and push for fair global trade rules. He added that the EU must act quickly, or risk being “out of the market“ within a few years. His comments align with a report by former Italian PM Mario Draghi, which calls for €800 billion in annual investment to keep up. Alex Phillips speaks with French politician, Charles-Henri Gallois. #news #eu #europe #france #macron #economy #talk #talkradio
