#145 Travel By Art, Ep. 20: Vineyards of Leutesdorf, Germany (Watercolor Landscape Tutorial)

Michael Solovyev. Vineyards of Leutesdorf, Germany. From the photo made by Olga Melnikova from Germany. @DANIEL SMITH watercolor paints on Saunders Waterford Rough paper, 22x15 inches. Edited by Alexander Solovyev: I will let Olga Melnikova take it from here: “I currently live in the small town of Neuwied in Germany. The village of Leutesdorf is a couple of kilometers away. The vineyards are a favorite walking spot. It is beautiful there at any time of the year and in almost any weather. Leutesdorf is a small village (10 km2, 1800 inhabitants) in which grapes and wine have been grown for more than one and a half thousand years. For the first time, Venantius Fortunatus mentions the vineyards of Leutesdorf (in 588 AD) in the Moselle River journey from Metz to Andernach with King Childebert II. There are currently 17 registered wineries in the village. A three-day wine festival and other fun festivals take place here every year.“
