PEKTORAL Chamber Choir - Mass for Peace and Justice Ariel Ramirez ( Argentina ) 1) Señor ten piedad de nosotros (Kirye) 2) Gloria Ariel Ramírez composed the Misa por la Paz y la Justicia in 1981, during the military dictatorship in Argentina, but his intention was to compose a mass about peace and justice throughout the world. “I think, as an artist, one should contribute that this will not happen again here or anywhere else, and so the idea arose of creating music with this message.“ His childhood friend, the presbytery Osvaldo Catena, assembled the texts, amongst which is the peace message of Pope John Paul II of 1979.
