First play: Limited Edition Serato TB-303 TR-606 Record opening and testing

It was mail day on this week’s Tuesday Morning Coffee stream, and we got mail from the good people at Serato! The software company changed the DJ game with the release of their “Scratch Live“ software & hardware which allowed DJs to control digital files with timecoded records with very little latency. Besides the standard NoiseMap two-sided vinyl that is their standard control piece, they’ves taken an artistic approach to special pressings, often including a side with exclusive music, scratch sounds, or etched artwork, with hundreds of different pressings existing to give DJs a variety of tools to express themselves, musically and stylistically. This package contained a collaboration with Roland, the famous tech company who created such instruments as the JUNO synth series and the TR-808 & TR-909 drum machines.
