The End of the Winter Fuel Payment Labour’s Callous Attack on Pensioners

The new Government shows just how little it values or cares for the older generation by ending the Universal Winter Fuel Payment, that so many pensioners rely on to keep them out of fuel poverty. The WFA was introduced by Labour PM Tony Blair and its removal was originally a Tory proposal which outraged Labour at the time. Obviously it’s now too good an idea for the new Government to put it in the garbage where it belongs.
