Hi everyone, ChickChick here! A childhood nostalgia of mine, this light and fluffy French toast with a crispy outside is an all time favorite ’cha chang teng / 茶餐廳 item of mine. Topped with a sweet golden syrup or condense milk (sometimes both) and a savory peanutty center, the HK style French toast forms the perfect balance of what Asians compliment as ’not too sweet’ 😋 It pairs well with a good ’yin yeung’ (鴛鴦), milk tea, or lemon tea ☕ Ingredients - 2 Slices of White Sliced Bread 2 Eggs 3 tbs Milk Peanut Butter Golden Syrup (optional) Condense Milk (optional) Butter (optional) Instructions - 1. Cut off the crust of the white bread and slather a nice amount of peanut butter on a slice bread. 2. Mix the eggs and milk together until its frothy and thoroughly mixed. 3.
