► Here’s a look at some of the cozy little backstreets of Nakano, located just 10 minutes by train from Shinjuku. This place is a hidden gem, offering all sorts of foods from all over Japan. First of all, typical Tokyo izakaya foods, but also specialities from Osaka, Hokkaido and Okinawa can be found here. It’s a great place to sample cheap and great tasting, authentic Japanese food. To me, the very local feeling is probably what I like the most about Nakano. This however also means, you can be pretty sure
