A Series of Duels: Duel 1 - Rapier vs Rapier - Brandon Pool and Nic Cabrera

Please enjoy this video of fencing between two members of the Chicago Swordplay Guild in the style of Fabris, Capo Ferro and Giganti. Our goal with this video is to show examples of the techniques presented in historical manuscripts and how they might be applied in a duel. The first portion of this video is “free play“ or sparring in which both fencers were told to simply try to win each exchange. In the middle portion of this video the fencers attempt to more closely present what the CSG teaches in their style of fence. The final portion of the video shows some plays or examples of specific techniques.
