Protests Erupt in Greece Against Vaccination Mandate

Thousands of people demonstrated, Wednesday, July 22, in Athens and other Greek cities over plans to make COVID-19 vaccinations mandatory for all health workers. Police responded with tear gas and water cannons to disperse the protesters. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said last week that all people working in retirement homes must be vaccinated by mid-August or they would be put on sick leave.
