The earliest recording of Queen’s first ever visit to the United States comes six shows into the North American Leg of the ’Queen II’ Tour. After trying a headlining tour through the UK, the band goes back in the opening slot for Mott the Hoople and once again they slowly win over audiences. While Freddie sounds a bit unstable tonight, the band is giving their all and delivering a great show. They’re harmonising incredibly well and thankfully this stereo recording does it justice.
