MIR ЕI[[ ]]IE KGB MYZTICAL The music of “Gulag Stacheldraht” is a completely improvised abstract performance, which uses such acoustical tools as field recordings, electrical noises and drone melodies which are made on soviet synthesizers. These tools are primarily being used as an aesthethical instrument in order to transfer listener to the desired setting. Often times Gulag Stacheldraht’s gigs reassemble rituals more, rather then actual musical concerts, therefore making the listener a crucial part of such a performance. Militaristic and totalitarian aesthetics are being used as another visual and atmospheric tool to complement such a sonic and ritualistic experience in a coherent way therefore providing maximum impact on the listener.
