She is the Emmy-nominated, award-winning playwright who turned her attention to Patricia Highsmith’s most personal novel, The Price of Salt, more than a decade ago, worked through a parade of talent that came and went, and ended up coming back to work with Todd Haynes on the film now known as Carol.
