BLUE RAIN ~1959 ~ Mayflower Records. The Islanders consisted of Randy Starr (Warren Nadel ) on guitar / whistling & Frank Metis on the accordian. Their 1960 Mayflower Records L/P release, THE ENCHANTED SOUND OF THE ISLANDERS contained , not only “Blue Rain“, but their only hit, “The Enchanted Sea“, which reached #10 on the Billboard Honor Roll of Hits list. “The Islanders“ , was simply a studio name and something the two never performed publicly as. Randy Starr (aka Warren Nadel) was from the Bronx section of New York City.
