Elvis Presley - Until It’s Time For You To Go - 14 April 1972 ES - Re-edited with new audio

Elvis recorded two masters of this track in Nashville, the first which would constitute the single release was recorded on 17 May 1971 and the remake on 8 June 1971 and this would remain but an alternate master and would finally be officially released on ’Essential Elvis 4 - A Hundred Years From Now’ in 1996. On Vegas opening night 26 January 1972 this was the third new song added that night to be introduced and one of only two he had previously recorded in the studio. Elvis would sing it on stage throughout 1972 including all four ’On Tour’ shows and three of the four MSG shows. He would use it sporadically in the subsequent years and the final time would be in Charlotte, North Carolina on 20 March 1976 during the Matinee show. This version, which ended up on MGM’s cutting room floor, is from the 14 April 1972 show in Greensboro, the third of the three shows filmed for “On Tour“ and features audio from “The Greensboro Concert“ released by Triangle Records.
