Polydactyl cats are unique in that they have more than the usual number of toes on one or more of their paws, and it’s this quirky trait that makes them so special. Ernest Hemingway was first gifted a polydactyl cat named Snow White, which sparked his love for these multi-toed felines. After his death, his home in Key West, Florida was turned into a museum and a home for his cats and their descendants, many of whom are polydactyl.
