Frame Drum Buyer’s Guide

In this video, I discuss things to consider when purchasing your frame drum. Besides price, you’ll also want to consider sound, size, and playing style. The drums I demonstrate all have synthetic heads, but you can also find frame drums made with natural animal hide such as goat skin. The second rhythm that I play while demonstrating the different drums is a healing rhythm composed during the pandemic in 2020 by my teacher Marla Leigh.
