The BRUTAL Execution Of The Guillotined SS Commandant

The guillotine was an execution device which was used in Germany during the Second World War. It was also used after and a number of former SS concentration camp guards were executed on it. Roland Puhr was an experienced guard who worked at Sachsenhausen and he was known for being involved in the executions of Soviet Prisoners Of War. He was personally responsible for shooting dozens, but he would also be the commandant of Lager Sylt. This was a concentration camp on British soil on Alderney in the Channel Islands. But at the end of the Second World War, Roland Puhr managed to evade capture and justice for almost 20 years but then his identity was revealed. He was then brought to trial, and for his crimes inside of Sachsenhausen and as a Nazi commandant he was executed on the guillotine inside of Leipzig Prison.
