«I use to work on objects, as a poetic material. Objects, flowers, vegetables, everything which seems unpoetical at first. When I decided to work on the fig, I had a commission for a piano piece. As a matter of fact, I was a pianist, and I always had some kind of an complicated relationship with my instrument.
