Israel’s President Isaac Herzog met with a US Congress Democrats delegation in Jerusalem on Thursday, where he stated that US and Israel’s “unbreakable bond“ is “irreplaceable“. This comes after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had reportedly cancelled a high-level delegation’s trip to Washington DC following the US abstention from a UN Security Council resolution on Monday calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
